Introduction

The department currently consists of:

  • 2 Professors
  • 1 Additional Professor
  • 2 Associate Professors
  • 3 Assistant Professors
  • 14 Senior Residents (SRs)
  • 29 Junior Residents (JRs)

Between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025, the department managed over 5,578 inpatient admissions and recorded more than 1,52,373 outpatient visits, reflecting its significant contribution to healthcare delivery at the institute.

IPD: 120 General Ward beds and 11 beds in the Medical ICU (MICU).

Additional admissions are accommodated in the ICU and HDU located in the Trauma and Anaesthesia Department as per clinical requirement.

Clinical: Outpatient Clinics, Inpatient Care, Emergency Services, Holter Monitoring, and Treadmill Testing (TMT). Ambulatory Blood Pressure (BP) Monitoring.

Community services/Outreach programs: Our faculty and residents participate in various health camps and awareness programmes, as well as the institute's telemedicine programme.

Teaching & Training: Undergraduate teaching of MBBS students from the third to the ninth semester, as well as a 45-day internship; MD in General Medicine.
