During my tenure as Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS Patna in the last two years and under my astute leadership the institute has earned national and global recognitions. In 2023 and 2024, it was adjudged as one of the World's Best Hospitals in India by independent analysis Newsweek-Statista a global health rating agency of USA. Furthermore, AIIMS Patna secured the 27th position in the NIRF Rankings of 2023 in the medical category among the top 50 medical institutes, conducted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Additionally, AIIMS Patna proudly holds the title of 1st Position among all the hospitals in the country for generating ABHA Health Records of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) scheme. AIIMS Patna is rated as the 10th best Medical University in the country by the India Today ranking 2023 and AIIMS Patna has secured the 5th rank among the highest-scoring colleges established after 2000, 4th rank among emerging medical colleges in India, and 1st place among the colleges in bridging the significant gap, moving from the 26th rank in 2023 to the 20th rank in 2024, as per the India Today 2024 rankings. AIIMS Patna has been selected for the Atal Incubation Center under the Atal Innovation Mission of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Further, the Department of Health Research of ICMR (DHR-ICMR project) has selected AIIMS Patna for the 'DIAMONDS' project & NIDAN project. The faculty members of the Institute received more than 30 crores of extramural funding in the last year, one of the highest figures among all the new AIIMS.

The main objectives of the Institute and my priorities are:
To develop a teaching pattern in undergraduate and postgraduate education to demonstrate a high standard of medical education for all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India. To bring educational facilities of the highest order together in one place for the training of the personnel in all important branches of the health activity. To attain self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education, training & research.
